Organization(s): USAG Hohenfels, Plans, Analysis & Integration Office, Planning Integration Branch, Hohenfels, Germany About the Position: Hohenfels Training Area is approximately 45 miles southwest of Grafenwoehr, and is less than 60 miles from the Czech Republic border. Scenic areas such as the Austrian Alps, Munich, or Neuschwanstein castle, are less than 3 hours from Hohenfels. It is located in Neumarkt County in the Upper Palatinate district in the independent state of Bavaria. The region is part of the "Upper Palatinate Jura" uplands that extend from Amberg in the north to the Danube river in the south. The characteristic features of the Jura are hilly terrain with softly rounded rock formations, mixed coniferous and deciduous forests, dry valleys and a general scarcity of water resources. The arable land in the lower sections between the hills is of low fertility, frequently covered with eroded rock and limestone. These conditions explain the sparse population of the area. EUJJ08462747 PLANS SPECIALIST Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - Hohenfels, Germany MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); You will plan, manage, and execute the strategic planning integration functions for the garrison. Serve as advisor to the garrison command group and staff on the integration of near, mid, and long term programs and the installation strategic plan. You will be fully responsible for ensuring all garrison plans and programs are coordinated into an integrated and cohesive strategic plan. Extensive effort is required to ensure facilities, training, equipment, and personnel are properly assessed to meet the long-term goals of the garrison. Provide input for prioritization and allocation of resources to the Installation Planning Board and the Garrison Commander. Evaluate initiatives and must be familiar with new and modified legislation. Complete coordination with applicable directorates to ensure that the garrison command group and staff have sufficient information to generate the vision for the future. Conduct annual reviews of the installation strategic plan.
