AFPC167734GG0132-15 Intelligence Specialist QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level to qualify for appointment at the GS-15 grade level.Specialized experience is that which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Knowledge and experience in intelligence analysis, collections and operations with a well-established understanding of the national intelligence and space communities and their production centers.Knowledge of intelligence analysis and production, researching U.S. space/counterspace and intelligence community requirements, employing research and analysis methodologies, identifying relevant threats, conducting analysis, and originating studies, briefings, daily products and communicating research and analysis results orally and in writing.Knowledge and experience of U.S. space/counterspace intelligence activities and the intelligence cycle from requirements generation through collection, analysis, production, and distribution.Skill in independent coordination and staffing of space/counterspace intelligence analysis and production issues with national level agencies and other applicable offices and staffs.Knowledge of military and civilian personnel management and training systems in order to supervise and motivate subordinates effectively.Skill in supervising. AFPC167734GG0132-15 Intelligence Specialist Additional Duty Location Info:001 vacancies - Vandenberg AFB, CA MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); he primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of intelligence to the Commander for the Joint Functional Component Command for Space (CDR JFCC SPACE) and the senior staff. Responsible for all long- term analysis and support to Joint space and counterspace activities. Serve as the Director of Intelligence to the CDR JFCC-SPACE. Function as senior intelligence representative of the JFCC SPACE J2. Provides JFCC SPACE and DoD with analysis of foreign space and counterspace system capabilities and employment to meet regional and/or national objectives and satisfy requirements established by national agencies and DoD component commands for space events, foreign employment of space assets, and operational capabilities of satellites. Reviews and contributes to operational and planning activities and ensures appropriate intelligence support is fully integrated into both activities. Develops space and counterspace courses of action and plans to implement CDR JFCC SPACE guidance and intentions. Provides expert advice to CDR JFCC-SPACE and staff, senior members of the DoD and Intelligence Community. Personally represents CDR JFCC SPACE in working groups charged with preparing studies for the DoD, position papers for national level agreements, and position papers on issues of particular command or national concern. Provides technical and administrative supervision for civilian and military Intelligence Specialists in the Intelligence Directorate. Identifies, distributes, and balances workloads and tasks among JFCC SPACE J2 staff.
