WTEW08456282 Human Resources Specialist (Military) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; or equivalent combinations of experience and education. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience is knowledge that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes knowledge of the laws, principles, systems, policies, methods and practices for military personnel and military personnel strength, to include TDA; and the ability to perform interviews, analyze and research techniques to conduct fact-finding regarding issues involving permanent and temporary changes of station, deployments and back-fills, TDA and PMAD authorizations, Medical Readiness Reporting, and distribution planning for military personnel.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Your pay will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement and will be based on your qualification, education, experience, training, and availability of funds.NSPS positions are excluded from time-in-grade restrictions.Education can be substituted for experience. Shafter, Kapalama and Camp Smith MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); You will serves as the Military Personnel Strength Manager responsible to control all activities related to the strength accountability, management and reporting for permanent party soldiers. Service and function include monitoring of incoming/outgoing assignments; perform analysis of TDA authorizations and positioning of personnel against those authorizations; maintain accountability of deployed soldiers and military back-fills; maintain statistical data and reporting of assigned military strength; submit MEDCOM Medical Readiness Reporting; and manage the processing of the Officer Distribution Program for the Pacific Region. Serve as manager for the Professional Filler System (PROFIS) and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA). Complete personnel actions relating to strength management in final form as final reviewer. Review, analyze and interpret new or changed regulations and directives. Recommend changes in military personnel policies and/or procedures to correct problem areas.
