General Schedule SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience in the same of similar work at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule or other pay systems in the Federal service. Best qualified candidates must show in their resumes that they have 1 year of specialized experience conducting accident prevention surveys and studies in a variety of establishments where conventional safety process/ procedures are applied. This experience must have provided the following knowledge, skills and abilities: (1). Knowledge of a wide range of safety and occupational health concepts, principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, standards, precedents and methodologies applicable to an extensive range of tactical and non tactical operations, equipment, material and environments in order to plan and carry out surveys and evaluate safety and health programs; develop and revise safety an occupational health guidelines; analyze mishap causal factors and develop hazard control strategies. (2). Skill in performing periodic and unscheduled inspections of installation facilities(to include the ammunition supply point, range, and arms rooms), warehouses, and equipment maintenance operations and evaluates compliance with applicable regulations and hazard classification system; develops and recommends countermeasures and methods to correct safety and occupational health deficiencies. (3).
