Management Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Candidates must have served three (3) months after initial competitive appointment and meet the following time in grade restrictions: Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
52 weeks of specialized experience as a GS-06 in the Federal service, or comparable in level of difficulty and responsibility to GS-06 if outside the Federal service, is required.Specialized experience is typically work in or related to the duties of the position being filled.Specialized experience includes knowledge of operations and procedures to research and evaluate administrative programs.Knowledge of office automation equipment and electronic mail.To be able to communicate both orally and in writing with personnel at all levels.
Substitution of Education for Experience:One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Such education must have been obtained at an accredited college or university.
Official transcripts must be provided if using education to substitute for specialized experience.
If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience requirement, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.

Performs a variety of administrative functions for the central site which include, but are not limited to telecommunications (including VTC liaison), and printing.Researches and evaluates programs, projects, and systems to improve administrative procedures and achieve greater efficiency.Develops and issues operating procedures to cover all administrative processes in the field site.Performs a variety of special projects as assigned including responses to one-time or recurring data calls.Gathers organizes collects, analyzes, and detects and evaluates trends and problems or identify solutions.Provides administrative site support for in and out processing, employee orientation, training, and conference room management and scheduling for on-site classes which support employee development in concert with field sites and business line mission requirements, Human Resources Liaison, EEO Liaison, and Transportation Incentive Program Management.
