QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Trades and Labor Have experience and documented skills in operating a variety of motor vehicles such as sedans, station wagons, pick up trucks, and carry-all vans to transport authorized personnel, materials, and/or equipment throughout the installation, over road surfaces including interstate highways, narrow country roads, steep winding grades, on Federal and public roads, and other urban or rural areas off the TAMC installation driving at highway speeds. Skill in handling vehicles. Knowledge of safest route, safety rules and all traffic regulations. Knowledge of passenger safety rules regarding the use of seatbelts. Knowledge of operating a cell phone and two-way radio. Basic knowledge in the use a computer.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Experience and training that furnish the knowledges, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job.Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision.Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Under the general supervision of the Tripler Warrior Transition Unit Commander , incumbent will perform a variety of tasks to provide transportation services for WTU personnel between Schofield Barrack, Tripler Army Medical Center, the Veterans Administration, other federal and state agencies and medical treatment facilities on the island of Oahu. Incumbent transports authorized personnel, materials, and /or equipment in connection with official government business over the TAMC installation, Federal and public roads, and other urban or rural areas off the TAMC and the installation at highway speeds. Picks up and delivers packages and supplies, and signs or obtains signature on receipts as required. Incumbent will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo. Use of a hand truck or motorized lift may be necessary. Operates one or more types of automotive vehicles, e.g., passenger shuttle vans, sedans, station wagons, pick-up trucks, carry all vans, and cargo van.
