Program Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Candidates must meet the qualification requirements of this position no later than the closing date of the vacancy announcement.All applicants must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to that of the next lower pay band/grade level in the Federal Service or private sector. For the SV-J pay band, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-I pay band or the GS-13 grade level.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Such experience will include evaluating program effectiveness and analyzing gaps between actual and desired program results; provide solutions to eliminate or minimize the gaps between actual and desired program results, and; partner with the staff to ensure program guidelines and procedures are implemented and practiced.Providing multiple and varying analytical and administrative duties and studies to support the Division Director in implementing special projects.
Position Sensitivity:
This is a Critical-Sensitive (Level 3) position and requires a Secret Security Clearance and completion of a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or Background Investigation (BI) prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.The incumbent will be subject to a 5-year periodic re-investigation.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Requires additional training and experience per DSH Management Directive #782, Acquisition Certification Requirements for Program Manager dated 5/26/2004.Applicants must be certified at a level commensurate with the responsibilities of the acquisition being managed.For this position, PM certification at level II is required at the time of application.If you possess DHS or DOD DAWIA Certification, please indicate your Certification Level and Career Field information in your resume.
