WTGH08401048 CIVIL ENGINEER Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - KS - Ft Riley & Manhattan MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Performs various duties at a resident office responsibile for military construction activities for office engineering and/or field engineering work. Prepares costs estimates for government positions relative to change orders and/or modification actions. Analyzes and breaks down plans and shop drawings. Negotiates tentative agreements for contractural effect of change orders or modifications. Makes engineering studies and analyses of recommendations received from project reps. Reviews submittal registers and shop drawings. Reviews and analyzes NAS schedules and data sheets submitted by the contractor in support of progress payment requests. Prepares various progress reports; reviews completed reports for each assigned contract. Provides directon and inspection of construction operations to ensure quality and and quantity of materials, equipment, and workmanship. Assures a Govt QA rep is present and properly trained to detect substandard operations and faulty construction.
