About the Position: As a part of the Installation Management Agency (IMA), Ft Dix provides training, mobilization and deployment support for the US Army Reserve Command. Its primary mission is to provide training support to active and reserve component units of all services and non-DOD activities. It serves as a major Army Power Projection Platform with the mission of receiving, training, equipping, deploying and demobilizing military forces. Ft Dix also provides support and services to off-post active and reserve component units, diverse tenants and other serviced organizations, and provides command and control of subordinate installations (Devens Reserve Forces Training Area, Massachusetts, and Charles E. Kelly Support Facility, Oakdale, Pennsylvania).

General Schedule Candidates for this position must identify in their resume that they possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level that provided 1. Knowledge of office automation systems to use several types of software for various office needs including word processing, databases and spreadsheets, and communications software. 2. Knowledge of the records management sufficient to establish, maintain, research and dispose of all necessary files, registers, regulations, etc. forms used by the organization served. 3. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and required formats to type a variety of narrative and tabular material in final form. 4. Ability to utilize word processor, microcomputer, or computer terminal to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, search, and print a wide variety of documents.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Education can be substituted for experience. MAJOR DUTIES:

You will be responsible for administrative and clerical support within the division and its subordinate activities including receiving calls, greeting visitors, maintaining the Division Chief's calendar, scheduling appointments, and maintaining suspense logs on all correspondence and action documents. You will be using office automation equipment to prepare a variety of reports, statistical data, spreadsheets, briefing charts, and graphs. You will prepare travel requests and all associated actions and documentation; maintain personnel time cards and consolidate time and attendance reports. You will also serve as official mail control officer, records manager, telephone control officer, training coordinator, and key control custodian for the division. You will also administer the Federal Employees Compensation Act Program for the division, informing employees of the conditions of coverage and assisting them in the preparation of claims and records.
