WTEV08473226D Human Resources Assistant (Mil/OA) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Specialized experience must demonstrate knowledge of and skill in applying an extensive body of military HR rules, procedures and operations concerning military promotion requirements sufficient to make initial recommendations on eligibility for promotion; identify discrepancies in selectee records; develop lists of all enlisted personnel eligible for promotion based on date of rank and schedule of pending promotion boards; reconcile promotion eligible lists; coordinate to resolve outstanding issues and answer questions and prepare reports; skill and ability to sets board dates, coordinate with assigned companies to ensure their promotion candidates receive all required information prior to board appearance, prepare forms for each voting board member, record board actions, prepare board minutes, obtain Board President signature, forward minutes to Commander for approval/signature and ensure recommended Soldier receives a copy of completed board packet; sufficient knowledge to receive information on pending arrivals from varying sources, update internal database, prepare Commander and Command Sergeant Major Welcome Letters, forward electronic Welcome Letter to incoming Soldier, coordinate for an individual sponsor, assist sponsor with preparation of individual sponsor letter and maintain file of all documents on inbound Soldier; skill and knowledge to maintain Field Copy of DA 201 file (Officer/Enlisted); knowledge of medical terminology characteristic of MEDDAC functions to prepare a variety of documents in final form; knowledge of office automation systems to select and use several types of software (word processing, graphics, database management and spreadsheets) for various office needs; and knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation and format needed to type a variety of material accurately from written sources.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.Typing - Any Grade: Qualified typist is required (40wpm).GS-06 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to the next lower grade level. WTEV08473226D Human Resources Assistant (Mil/OA) Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - AK - Ft. Wainwright MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Enlisted Promotion Manager for all advancement/promotion. Reviews Enlisted Record Brief to determine eligibility for promotion. Prepares forms and forwards to company commander for recommendation action. Serves as MEDDAC-AK Promotion Board Recorder. Updates internal database with all information. Coordinates with Resource Management Division on data mismatch, corrects problem records, prepares weekly reports, validates all DMHRSi assigned data against eMILPO assigned strength, prepares bi-weekly reports and validates DMHRSi position data against eMILPO official duty position. Manages PERSTEMPO database. Updates Officer Record Brief/Enlisted Record Brief to ensure record is accurate and complete.
