About the Position: Located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, only 50 miles from New York City, the US Military Academy at West Point is a four-year academic institution, a nationally-renowned historic site, and the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. The undergraduates, known as cadets, are commissioned as officers in the US Army upon graduation. You can watch them in parades or competing as intercollegiate athletes in a wide range of sporting events. As a military installation, West Point is a small, self-contained city with housing for the military stationed here in support of the Academy, a Department of Public Works to maintain the roads, grounds and facilities, two libraries (Academic and Community), a military hospital, fire department, chapels, restaurants. West Points 3,000 civilian employees have access to Eisenhower Hall Theatre, the Hudson Valleys premier performing arts center, and to recreational facilities such as an 18-hole Golf Course and Ski Slope.

MAJOR DUTIES:

You will assist higher graded administrative officers by compiling and consolidating data for reports, drafting correspondence, guidance, preparing and processing routine actions. You will serve as directorate administrative focal point, providing technical guidance and assistance to employees and management, for the following administrative services: time and attendance, leave usage, various work orders, audiovisual requests, within-grade increases, etc. You will receive and review requests for new/revised forms and reprints for existing forms and forward to the command Forms Control Officer. You will be responsible for control and management of directorate expendable items, prepare annual Self-Service Supply Account allocations and monitor accounts, making adjustments as necessary. You will review new/revised regulations, guidance, policies, determine need for changes to internal operating procedures and prepare implementing instructions for dissemination to directorate personnel.
