General Schedule Specialized Experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically working with fund accounting methods, procedures, and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in an accounting system encompassing a number of diversified activities as well as preparation of financial statements and reports. WTEF08441411 Accounting Technician Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - TX - Killeen, Temple & Marlin area MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); As an Accounting Technician, you will prepare, receive, review accounting documents for proper accounting codes, classification, signature, transaction codes, etc, & determine appropriate action to update ledgers. Maintain account files & reconcile with general ledger accounts. Maintain funds control, credits, orders, general ledger by processing day to day accounting documents, such as, work authorizations, income & disbursement vouchers & accounts payable. Post to journal, account, ledger, etc, by determining proper accounting procedure & adjust/update. Prepare journal vouchers from documents or subsidiary records in order to update general ledger accounts. Input purchase requests for contractors & supplies. Manage contractor accounts & communicate with Defense Finance Accounting System (DFAS). Compile data from general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, listings, files & prepares portions of financial statements, balance sheets, operating statements, etc.
