General Schedule Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant to perform the duties of the position such as: Sufficient knowledge of the substantive programs of the organization and of the goals, priorities, policies, and commitments of the Commander to maintain awareness of the clerical and administrative problems related to TAC's Executive Office.
Knowledge of DA, USACE and TAD regulations and instructions to be able to advise the supervisor, his staff and other clerical personnel on their application.
Knowledge of and the ability to use a personal computer and various types of administrative software packages, i.e., MS Office, etc.
Knowledge of timekeeping practices and procedures.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Receives incoming telephone calls and personal callers. Serves in a liaison capacity between the supervisor and other offices. Arranges conferences by ensuring office space; notifying attendees; and arranging for special facilities, etc. 4. Receives incoming mail, determining that which can be handled personally and forwards the rest, with appropriate notations as to who is to prepare the response, how reply is to be addressed, and for whose signature, etc. Composes general correspondence on own initiative or brief instructions indicating general content. Serves as timekeeper for the Executive Office. Advises personnel on regulations or procedures governing preparation of correspondence; internal operations of the office; reporting of feeder data, etc. Serves as military liaison responsible for processing all incoming permanent military assigned to the Transatlantic Programs Center Headquarters and Resident Offices in various foreign countries within the TAC area of responsibility.
