SWDL08402080 LEAD HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided the applicant with the knowledge of, and skill in applying, an extensive body of military HR rules, procedures, and operations concerning records and documents sufficient to: (1)Perform a wide variety of interrelated and/or non-standard HR support work relating to military and family member travel this includes determining passport and visa requirements for scheduled overseas assignments. (2) Use personal computers with office applications to perform operations or to prepare complex documents containing tables or graphs; and use online HR resources to obtain information accessible over the Internet; (3) Research and provide explanations regarding rules, procedures, and requirements to military employees; (4); Plan, coordinate, develop facts and/or resolve support problems in one or more HR specialties; or other work that is in or related to the position being filled.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).GS-06 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to the next lower grade level. SWDL08402080 LEAD HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - KY - Ft. Campbell MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Serves as lead worker over a team of GS-0203-05 Human Resources Assistants (Military) who process and review applications for family travel; process, review and maintain reassignment instructions on officer and enlisted personnel; and provide assistance to military personnel to resolve problems prior to departure.Prepares correspondence to obtain approval for family member travel and notifies family members of travel authorization. Requests port calls for family member travel. Maintains a separate file for each case of unaccompanied family travel processed. Determines passport and visa requirements for military personnel and family members pending overseas movement. Controls all SIDPERS function processed by the Personnel Reassignments Section.Serves as a Lead Human Resources Assistant (Military). Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards and refers questions or problems not covered by standards to Section chief.
