QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position:A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position.Evidence of specialized experience, which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position, must be supported by detailed descriptions of your experience on your resume or OF-612.
SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire.Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated.The potential eligibles are then rated against the remainder of the questions.The screen-out element for this position is:
Food Service Worker, WG-01, does not require any special experience, education or training but the candidate must be reliable and dependable, able to follow directions and do food service work without more than normal supervision, and must also be able to maintain tools and equipment safely.
Food Service Worker, WG-02, requires quantity food service experience, which demonstrates the ability to do the work of the position. Experience could be in a restaurant, cafeteria or institutional kitchen and must demonstrate the ability to follow directions, knowledge of basic arithmetic, set-up and serve food, sanitize a kitchen, and sweep and buff floors.
Physical effort and work conditions:
The candidate must be able to do the work of the position without harm to self or others.

**THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION WORKING 15 HOURS PER WEEK EITHER 6:30AM-9:30AM OR 3:30PM-6:30PM FIVE DAYS PER WEEK.**
Major duties and responsibilities include:
• Participating in the set-up of serving areas by assembling plates, trays, and cafeteria lines, etc.; portioning and serving food
• Having a knowledge of basic arithmetic in order to count the number of tables and meal trays or determine the number of servings a container will yield
• Setting up glasses, silverware, meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, and hot and cold beverages
• Disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, assembling, and storing a variety of cooking, baking, meat cutting, or miscellaneous food service equipment
• Washing dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and serving utensils and separates and disposes of food waste and trash and scrapes plates or trays
• Loading, operates, unloads, and maintains dish machine
• Sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors, washes walls, ceilings, and exhaust fans, cleans bathrooms, pantry shelves, windows, etc.
